Dergimiz eğitim bilimleri başta olmak üzere sosyal ve beşeri bilimlerin farklı disiplinleriyle alakalı akademik standartlara uygun kaleme alınmış, hakem değerlendirme süreçlerinden başarıyla geçmiş özgün, nitelikli çalışmalara yer vererek bilgi birikimine katkı sunmayı ve yayın yaptığı ilgili alanda araştırma yapanların ilk başvuru yaptığı kaynaklar arasında yer almayı amaçlamaktadır. </p> <p><strong>International Journal of Values in Education and Society (Uluslararası Eğitim ve Toplumda Değerler Dergisi), </strong>sosyal ve beşeri bilimlerin tüm dallarından ahlak, etik ve değer konularına odaklanılan ve özgün bir değer taşıyan derleme, araştırma makalesi ve diğer çalışma türlerine yer verir. <strong>International Journal of Values in Education and Society (Uluslararası Eğitim ve Toplumda Değerler Dergisi), Mayıs </strong>ve Aralık aylarında olmak üzere yılda iki defa yayınlanır (özel sayılar hariç), Türkçe veya İngilizce çalışmaları kabul eder (diğer dillerdeki çalışmalar yayın kurulunun iznine tabidir), yayınların kabul edilebilmesi için çalışmaların hakem değerlendirme sürecini başarıyla tamamlaması beklenir.</p> <p><strong>International Journal of Values in Education and Society</strong> is an international peer-reviewed journal that aims to contribute to knowledge by publishing moral, ethical and value-centered scientific studies from all fields of social and human sciences. Our journal aims to contribute to the knowledge base by including original, qualified studies that have been written in accordance with academic standards related to different disciplines of social and human sciences, especially educational sciences, and have passed the referee evaluation processes, and to be among the first references by those who make research in the relevant field.<br />The <strong>International Journal of Values in Education and Society</strong> includes reviews, research articles, and other types of work that focus on morality, ethics, and values from all branches of the social and human sciences and have a unique value. Farklı kültürlerin tanınmasında, korunmasında ve gelecek nesillere aktarılmasında sanatın önemli bir yeri vardır. Günümüzde iletişim ve bilişim teknolojilerinde yaşanan hızlı gelişmeler ve çeşitli sebeplerle gerçekleşen göç olayları insanların farklı kültürlerle olan etkileşimlerini artırmakta ve kültürel karşılaşmalara yol açmaktadır. Bu durum okulları da çokkültürlü bir yapıya dönüştürmüştür. Çalışmada çokkültürlülüğün öğrencilerin görsellerine ve ifadelerine yansıma durumunun incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma Sakarya ilinde bir devlet okulunda 4. sınıfta öğretime devam eden 19 öğrenciyle yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin kendilerine yöneltilen sorulara verdikleri cevaplar sonucunda değerlerden bağımsız kalamadıkları görülmüş olup, en çok paylaşımcı olma, misafirperverlik, saygı, sevgi, dayanışma, vatanseverlik, barış ve hoşgörü değerlerine yer verdikleri tespit edilmiştir.</p> Orhan ERTÜRK, Kumru ERTÜRK Copyright (c) 2025 International Journal of Values in Education and Society https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journalves.com/index.php/pub/article/view/45 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0300 https://journalves.com/index.php/pub/article/view/46 <p>The Sarıkamış Operation, one of the most significant events in Turkish history, took place in December 1914 as part of the Caucasus Front during World War I (1914–1918), where the Ottoman Empire fought against Russia. Aiming to raise awareness of this operation and to make historical learning more engaging and motivating, an educational game titled “Sarıkamış: White Heroes” was developed. The game seeks to convey knowledge about the Caucasus Front and the Sarıkamış Operation through gamification, while also integrating general cultural topics to stimulate students’ curiosity and motivation.</p> <p>A qualitative research design was employed, and purposive sampling was used to select participants. Data were collected from 38 gifted fifth-grade students attending a science and art center who volunteered to participate in the study. Semi-structured interview questions, developed based on expert opinion, were used to gather data, which were analyzed using content analysis.</p> <p>Observations during gameplay revealed students’ competitive attitudes and high levels of excitement. Post-game reflections indicated that students gained knowledge about historical and cultural topics.
